Managing Marketing Email Preferences and Unsubscribing from Cialfo Communications

How to manage marketing email preferences for your school, and what to do if the unsubscribe button is not working.

Cialfo sends marketing and product-related communications to school counselors and admins. This article explains how email preferences work, how users can opt out, and what to do if the unsubscribe mechanism is not functioning correctly.

How the Unsubscribe Option Works

Marketing emails from Cialfo include an Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. Clicking this link should remove the recipient from future marketing communications. This is separate from transactional notifications (such as document submission confirmations or student activity alerts), which are controlled from within your Cialfo account settings.

What to Do If the Unsubscribe Button Is Not Working

In some cases, the unsubscribe link in a marketing email may not function correctly. If a counselor or admin at your school continues receiving marketing emails after clicking unsubscribe, follow these steps:

  1. Check whether the unsubscribe click resulted in a confirmation page. If not, the link may have expired or been broken.

  2. Forward the original email to Cialfo Support at [email protected] or contact Cialfo Support via Chat with Cialfo, and request manual removal from the marketing list.

  3. Provide the email address(es) that need to be removed. If multiple staff at your school wish to opt out, include all email addresses in the same request.

Requesting Removal of an Entire School from Marketing Emails

If a school wishes to remove all staff members from Cialfo marketing email lists, contact Cialfo Support via Chat with Cialfo or email [email protected]. Provide the school name and a list of email addresses to be unsubscribed. The support team will coordinate with the marketing operations team to action the removal.

Transactional vs. Marketing Emails

Not all emails from Cialfo are marketing emails. Transactional emails such as student registration emails, task reminders, document submission alerts, and system notifications cannot be unsubscribed from via the marketing opt-out link. To manage transactional notification preferences, go to My Settings β†’ Notifications within your Cialfo account.
