Add or remove your student's test scores

View and edit a student's test scores

Written by MOHIT MMANGAL

Counselors and students can add and manage standardised test scores directly in Cialfo. Test scores are used across the platform for scattergrams, likelihood calculations, and university matching.

To update a student's score individually, type in the student's name whose scores you want to add or edit. Click on the "Profile" option and scroll down until you arrive at the "Tests" section.

Here, you can add and edit any test scores and dates for your students individually. If you would like your students to update this section themselves, you may enable this function under Account > Configuration > Students Profile section and turn the Permission on for 'Can Edit Test Scores'.

Adding a New Test Score

To add a new test score, click on the '+ Add' button and a sidebar will open.

First, select the type of test score and then select the test date. Fill in your student's test scores in the fields given and once you're done, click on 'Save'.

To edit or remove your student's test scores, simply select "Edit Information" and the sidebar will reopen you may edit it or click on the 'Delete' button at the bottom left of the sidebar.

If you need to add test scores in bulk, please refer to these help articles:

Pre-ACT Composite Score Calculation Update (January 2026)

We identified an issue where the Pre-ACT composite score could display incorrectly if the Science subject score was not entered.

What was happening: If Pre-ACT scores were added without a Science score, the composite score was still being calculated, which could result in an incorrect value.

What's been fixed: The composite score calculation has been updated to handle missing Science scores correctly. It now only considers the subjects that have been entered.

What you need to know: Science is optional when entering Pre-ACT scores. If a student did not take the Science section, you can leave it blank and the composite score will still calculate accurately based on the available scores.

Additional Test Options Added to "Test Submitted" Dropdown

Five new admissions tests: TMUA, UCAT, HAT (History), TSA, and ESAT have been added to the Test Submitted dropdown within the applications section. These tests are commonly required for UK university admissions, including institutions such as University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, and Imperial College London, as well as medical programmes.

Where this appears

The new test options are now available across all applicable application portals, including:

  • Common App

  • Other portals

  • UCAS

  • UK-DA

For UCAS and UK-DA specifically, the Test Submitted field has also been newly introduced as part of this update, enabling counselors to record these UK admissions tests for the first time.

How to use

When completing an application for a student applying to a UK or medical programme:

  1. Go to the application details section.

  2. Locate the Test Submitted field.

  3. Select from the updated options:

    • TMUA

    • UCAT

    • HAT (History)

    • TSA

    • ESAT

  4. Record any tests the student has already taken or is scheduled to take as part of their application requirements.
