Who gets the new page?
The new Applications page is in beta. At beta schools, all students and counselors open the new page by default and can switch back to the previous page at any time. At other schools, anyone can try it with Switch to new version at the top of the current page.
If you'd like your school to default to the new Applications page, contact your Cialfo Client Partner.
What's new?
An overview of every application: tabs at the top show how many of the student's applications are at each stage, and Filter by groups them by status, portal or country.
Who owns the next step: each card shows Waiting on: the student, their counselor, Cialfo, the university, or the student's decision on an offer.
Deadlines and the next action on every card. Deadlines that need attention are highlighted, and less-used actions are tucked under More actions.
Students see the same view: they can see where each application stands and what to do next, so they're less likely to need to ask you for status updates.
The In review stage for Direct Apply applications, the only portal with counselor and Cialfo review steps. When an application is waiting on your review, it shows With your counselor and a Review application button.
UCAS and UK Direct Apply choices grouped into one card.
A details panel with the progress tracker, application details, notes, documents and outcome fields.
A simpler Add application flow: the university search shows which portals each university supports, and each way to apply shows what's involved, such as any fee and whether its status syncs to Cialfo.
Viewing a student's applications
Open the student's account.
Click Applications in the left menu.
Use the tabs or Filter by to find applications, and click a card (or View all details) to open the details panel.
The details panel includes the application note and your counselor note
The page uses the student's wording (for example "Your decision"), because it shows the applications the way the student sees them.
When a Direct Apply application is waiting for your review, its card shows With your counselor. Click Review application to open it.
Switching between versions
Click Switch to previous version to use the previous page, and Switch to new version to come back.
Your choice applies to every student you open, not just the current one, and is remembered.
When you switch back, we'll ask why. It's optional, but it helps us improve the page.
What hasn't changed?
The data: applications, results, decisions and enrollment details are same on both pages.
Your school's settings: for example, if Allow students to edit their application details is off, students still can't edit them on the new page.
cDocs and Recommendations work as before.
The mobile app is unchanged for now.
