Enrollment "Attending" Checkbox Behaviour After a UCAS Decision Sync

How the Attending checkbox in Enrollment behaves as a UCAS university decision status syncs into Cialfo via DA UK, and what changed in August 2026.

The Attending checkbox in Enrollment lets a counselor mark which university offer a student is accepting. For UK-bound students, this checkbox interacts with UCAS decision statuses that sync into Cialfo via DA UK (Direct Applications UK). This article explains how the checkbox behaves as a UCAS decision updates, and what changed in August 2026.

How the Attending checkbox responds to a UCAS decision sync

As a student's UCAS choices move through the cycle — from a Conditional Offer, to results day, to Clearing if needed — the decision status for each choice syncs from UCAS into the student's Enrollment record on Cialfo via DA UK. The Attending checkbox now updates correctly in each of the following scenarios:

  • Conditional Offer becomes Unconditional Offer: once results are released and a choice updates to Unconditional Offer, the Attending checkbox is enabled and can be ticked by the counselor or student, whether or not it was ticked before.

  • Conditional Offer becomes Unsuccessful: if a previously-ticked Attending choice updates to Unsuccessful once results are released, the Attending tick is automatically cleared, and the checkbox remains editable so a different choice can be marked instead.

  • A Clearing choice becomes Unconditional Offer: if a student secures a place through Clearing after their original five choices are all Unsuccessful, the new Clearing choice's Attending checkbox is enabled once its Unconditional Offer status syncs in.

Previously, the checkbox could become greyed out and un-editable in these scenarios — for example, staying locked even after a choice changed to Unconditional Offer, or remaining ticked and impossible to clear after a choice changed to Unsuccessful. This has been corrected so the checkbox always reflects the latest synced UCAS decision.

If a student's Attending checkbox still looks wrong

  1. Confirm the UCAS decision status for that choice has actually synced to Cialfo — check the decision shown against the choice in Enrollment.

  2. If the synced decision looks correct but the Attending checkbox does not match it (greyed out, stuck ticked, or stuck unticked), contact Cialfo Support via Chat with Cialfo with the student's name, school, and the affected university choice so the record can be reviewed and corrected.
