Saige – Now Available Throughout the Platform

We're excited to share that Saige is now accessible across the entire platform, no longer limited to the University Profile page. Students and counselors can interact with Saige at every stage of their journey, from researching universities to preparing and submitting applications.

What can Saige help you with?

Saige is designed to provide quick, contextual assistance throughout your college planning and application process. Here's what you can currently use Saige for:

Understands your role for relevant guidance
Whether you are a student exploring options or a counselor supporting your students, Saige tailors its responses to your needs.

General questions about college planning and admissions
For example:

  • "What are some affordable universities in the UK for international students?"

  • "Which countries are best for studying engineering?"

  • "What is UCAS?"

Step-by-step planning support
Ask Saige:

  • "How do I build a balanced university list?"

  • "What should I prepare before starting my Common App?"

Information about Cialfo platform features
Saige can help explain features such as:

  • "How does Application Limits work?"

  • "What can I track in the Recommendations Hub?"

What's New ?

Saige Coins Now Live for All Tenants

The Saige Coins feature was rolled out to all eligible tenants on the Cialfo platform. Saige Coins are a usage-based allocation that governs how often a student or counselor can interact with Saige's AI features within a given period.

With this rollout, all tenants that were previously in a limited or staged access group now have full access to the Saige Coins system. Schools and students will now see their coin balance and usage tracking within Saige.

If a student or counselor is not seeing their Saige Coins or the feature is not loading, follow the below steps

  1. Log out and log back in to ensure your session reflects the latest feature access.

  2. Verify with your school admin that the tenant's Saige Coins entitlement has been configured.

  3. If coins are still not appearing after a session refresh, contact Chat with Cialfo with your school name and the email of the affected user.

Saige Chat, Kickstart Filters & Personal Details UX Improvements

Several UX improvements were introduced across Saige Chat, Kickstart Filters and the Personal Details section.

The Saige bubble and tick/confirm button now respond more reliably during user interactions, ensuring smoother and more predictable behaviour. Kickstart filters have been improved to retain selections correctly and apply them accurately, creating a better experience while setting up initial university recommendations.

Additionally, the Place of Birth field in Personal Details has been updated from a free-text input to a searchable dropdown, helping standardise entries, improve data accuracy and reduce spelling variations or inconsistent manual inputs.
