The Cialfo mobile app, available on iOS and Android, enables students to manage their college planning anytime, anywhere. With an intuitive interface and personalized features, it supports seamless exploration, tracking, and decision-making on the go.

App Structure

The Cialfo mobile app is divided into five key sections: Home, Universities, Bookmarks, Applications, and Account.

Each section supports a different stage of your university application journey.

1.Home

The Home section serves as your main dashboard, providing an overview of your progress, recommendations, and resources.

Inbox (Messenger Icon): Access the Inbox via the message icon to chat directly with your assigned counselor, ask questions, receive guidance, and stay updated.

​Search Bar: Search for universities by name and get redirected to the university's detailed page.

​Profile & Progress Card: Displays your name, profile strength progress bar, and a "Complete Profile" option. Maintaining a complete profile helps strengthen your application and improves recommendations.

​My University Quest: Whether you're just starting to explore universities or getting ready to make a final decision, University Quest helps you assess your readiness and guides you with personalized tips and next steps.

1-on-1 University Guidance: Click on "Free 1-on-1 Uni Guidance" to connect with a University Enrollment Advisor (UEA) and receive personalized support and expert advice.

Edit Preferences: Click the TUNE (pen) icon to modify your budget, destination, and academic preferences.


​Careers Section: Explore career paths aligned with your profile.

Trending Videos, Guides & Articles: Explore curated content and filter results by country, content type, and topics.

Saige – AI Assistant: Saige is Cialfo's built-in AI assistant that can provide university recommendations, answer queries, and assist with planning.

Additional Mobile Bug Fixes & Enhancements (April 2026)

Cialfo has rolled out additional mobile app improvements aimed at enhancing usability, consistency, and overall performance.

Mobile App Home Page β€” University Quest & Bug Fixes

The Cialfo mobile app Home page includes several widgets, including the University Quest section. In January 2026, a set of bug fixes was released to improve the overall experience and resolve issues on the mobile Home page.

Mobile App: Adding and Editing Test Scores & Fixes

The Cialfo mobile app includes a Test Scores module that allows students to add and edit their standardized test results. In late January 2026, several bug fixes were introduced to improve accuracy, clarity, and overall user experience when managing test entries.

Back Button Closing the App Unexpectedly βœ“ FIXED

On certain Android and iOS devices, tapping the Back button while navigating within the Cialfo app caused the app to close entirely instead of returning to the previous screen. This affected users mid-session and required them to relaunch the app to continue.

This issue has been resolved. The Back button now correctly navigates to the previous screen without closing the app.

If you are still experiencing unexpected app exits after updating to the latest version:

  1. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Restart the app and try again.

  3. If the issue continues, contact Chat with Cialfo with your device model, OS version, and the steps that triggered the exit.

Error Message When Selecting a Course in the Applications Tab βœ“ FIXED

When a student tapped on a course entry in the Applications tab of the mobile app, an error message appeared instead of displaying the course details. This prevented students from reviewing course information associated with their applications from the mobile app.

This issue has been resolved. Tapping on a course in the Applications tab now correctly displays course details without errors.

If a student is still seeing this error after updating the app, please contact Chat with Cialfo with the student’s name and the specific course/university affected.

FAQs & Recent Mobile App Improvements

Saige: Android keyboard issue

Closing the keyboard on the Saige screen previously left a blank white area at the bottom of the page on Android. This issue has now been resolved.

OTP verification flow

Students who reopened the app during OTP verification were previously redirected to the onboarding flow. They are now redirected back to the OTP verification screen correctly.

University Quest tooltip issue

Duplicate helper tooltips appearing under "Main Quest" and "Side Quests" have been resolved.

Scholarship images cropped

Scholarship images on the Universities β†’ Scholarships page were previously appearing cropped due to incorrect image dimensions. This issue has now been fixed.

Test score validation

Validation is now instant β€” invalid scores below the minimum allowed value can no longer be saved even if Save is tapped before correction completes.

ACT test field order

Fields now appear in the standard ACT reporting sequence: English, Math, Reading, Science, Writing (optional).

Back button closing the app (Nov 2025)

On certain Android and iOS devices, tapping Back caused the app to close entirely. The Back button now correctly navigates to the previous screen.

Course error in Applications tab (Nov 2025)

Tapping a course entry in the Applications tab previously showed an error instead of course details. Course details now display correctly.
