Step 1 - Find the welcome email
To get started with the set up, locate your welcome email titled 'Get started with Cialfo!' from [email protected].
If your school uses Google, you can use the "Login with Google Account" button and sign in seamlessly with your Gmail username and password. If your school does not use Google, click on the "Setup Password" button to set up a new password.
To begin, click on 'Your Profile' on the left-hand menu to open up your profile page.
Step 2 - Update your Settings and Notifications
You will be able to update your notification preferences for SMS and Email within your 'Settings'. This will also include how your Guardians are notified through the platform.
Step 3 - Fill up your Personal Information
It is important to fill out your student profile to the best of your ability.
Under the Profile tab, click on Update Personal Information and fill up your profile with your personal information as shown below as well as upload your profile picture. Once you are done, click on the 'Save Information' button.
We also recommend you to fill in the following sections within your profile as this will assist your counselor with shortlisting universities to match your profile.
Guardian/Contact Information – Having both phone and email contacts for your Guardian(s) is critical to ensure your counselor is able to keep your Guardian(s) in the loop with your application progress.
Grades – You can input your grades for all 4 years (Grade 9-12) of high school. If you do not have all final grades yet please input your predicted grades.
Test Scores – Use this feature to enter all previous exams taken for the application process. Additionally, this section can be used to enter upcoming examination dates.
Extracurriculars – This section is critical. For any counselor to assist a student, they must first understand what the student has been active in or outside of school and is currently achieving.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL asterisked (*) items must be completed before being able to save. If you have any further questions regarding using the platform, do not hesitate to contact your counselor.
