Step 1 - Find the welcome email
When logging into Cialfo for the first time, students can access their registration email. The email subject is: "Set up your student account". Please check your Spam folder as well if you are unable to find it in your Inbox.
Step 2 - Login with Google or set up a new password
If your school uses Gmail, you can use the "Login with Google" button and sign in with your Gmail username and password! If your user email is not a gmail address, you will need to click on the "Setup Password" button and use that to sign in.
Step 3 - Update your Settings and Notifications
You will be able to update your notification preferences for SMS and Email within your 'Settings'. This will also include how your Guardians are notified through the platform.
Step 4 - Fill out your profile
It is important to fill out your student profile to the best of your ability. Remember to click Save on every page! Your profile will include...
Personal Information – Having the correct or preferred contact information is key to ensure your counselor can contact you. We also suggest using your school's email address so you do not miss any important notifications.
Application Preferences – Tell your counselor which countries you are considering for further studies. You can also indicate which major you are interested in pursuing.
Under this section, you will be able to see the application regions, which will have a direct impact on your "School Search" results.
You can contact your counselors to add more regions you are interested in.
Guardian/Contact Information – Having both phone and email contacts for your Guardian(s) is critical to ensure your counselor is able to keep your Guardian(s) in the loop with your application progress.
Grades – You can input your grades for all 4 years (Grade 9-12) of high school. If you do not have all final grades yet please input your predicted grades. This will help your counselor with shortlisting Universities to match your profile.
Test Scores – Use this feature to enter all previous exams taken for the application process. Additionally, this section can be used to enter upcoming examination dates.
Extracurriculars – This section is critical. For any counselor to assist a student, they must first understand what the student has been active in or outside of school and is currently achieving.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL asterisked (*) items must be completed before being able to save. If you have any further questions regarding using the platform, do not hesitate to contact your counselor.
