Once a college or university requests a visit with your school, you can accept, reschedule or decline the visit request.
Identifying Visit Request Status
All college visits will appear under the 'College Visits' tab. The different color icons denote the request type. When a college requests for a visit, it will have an orange icon. Once you approve the request, it would change to a green tick. If there has been a request to reschedule a visit, that would appear with a red exclamation mark until the request has been approved or canceled.
New visits requests or changes to current visits will be indicated with a notification in the top right corner.
Managing Visit Requests
To accept a visit request, click on the request and it will open a sidebar. Through this sidebar, you can do the following:
Click "Confirm" to confirm the visit
Click "Resechedule" and reschedule a visit that your school prefers
Click "Cancel visit" to cancel it
And send a message to to the college representative through "Send message"
Rescheduling a Visit
If you have selected to reschedule a visit request, you'll see a sidebar that allows you to select a new available time that you want to reschedule the visit to.
Once selected, simply select "Send reschedule". This will trigger a reschedule visit request to the college or university. Your event list will now display the request with a red exclamation mark until the request has been confirmed by the college. Explore allows you to reschedule a previously confirmed visit as well as reschedule a new visit request.
Canceling a Visit
If you have opted to cancel a visit request, click on the request and a side bar will appear. Here you can click "Cancel visit" to decline the request. Select the reason for cancellation and click "Cancel visit". Once the event has been cancelled, an email will be sent out to any students that have signed up for that visit. Please note that cancelled events cannot be rescheduled. Explore allows you to cancel a previously confirmed visit as well as cancel a new visit request.
