Once a college or university requests a visit with your school, you can accept, reschedule or decline the visit request.
Identifying Visit Request Status
All college visits will appear under the 'Events' tab. The different color icons denote the request type. When a college requests for a visit, it will have an orange icon. Once you approve the request, it would change to a green tick. If there has been a request to reschedule a visit, that would appear with a red exclamation mark until the request has been approved or cancelled.
New visits requests or changes to current visits will be indicated with a notification in the top right corner.
Accepting or Declining a Visit Request
To accept a visit request click on request and it will open up a pop-up window. Through this window you can click 'Confirm' to accept or 'Cancel Visit' to decline the request.
Rescheduling a Visit
To reschedule a visit request, click on request and it will open up a sidebar. Here, you can click 'Reschedule' to reschedule the request. Select the new date/time slot, enter the reason for rescheduling along with the other required fields and click 'Send Reschedule'. This will trigger a reschedule visit request to the college or university. Your event list will now display the request with a red exclamation mark until the request has been confirmed by the college. Explore allows you to reschedule a previously confirmed visit as well as reschedule a new visit request.
Cancelling a Visit
To cancel a visit request, click on request and a pop-up window will appear. Here you can click 'Cancel Visit' to decline the request. Select the reason for cancellation and click 'Cancel event'. Once the event has been cancelled, an email will be sent out to any students that have signed up for that visit. Please note that cancelled events cannot be rescheduled. Explore allows you to cancel a previously confirmed visit as well as cancel a new visit request.
