Within Hubs, students can explore a wide range of materials, including articles, videos, and study guides, to help them plan and prepare for their applications. It also brings together relevant events, webinars, and important updates, making it easy to find everything needed in one place.
Navigating Inside a Hub
Once you enter a Hub, you will see a simple interface with three main sections: Folders, Files, and Links / Imported Items.
Folders: Organize your content by creating folders for different topics (e.g., universities, exams, applications).
Files: Upload and store important documents such as transcripts, essays, or notes.
Links / Imported Items: Save useful links, such as university websites or resources, for quick access.
You can use this space like a personal drive to keep all your important files, documents, and links organized in one place.
There are two ways to add folders, files, and links in Hubs:
1. Adding Folders, Files, and Links
You can easily organise your content within a Hub using the Add and Upload options:
Add a Folder: Click on the Add option and select Folder. You can then name it based on your preference (e.g., “Universities”, "Essays", or “Scholarships”).
Upload Files: Select the Upload File option to add documents such as transcripts, resumes, or notes directly into the Hub.
Add a Link: Click on the Add option, paste the desired link, and give it a suitable name so you can easily identify it later (e.g., the name of the university or resource).
This helps you keep everything organised and easy to access in one place.
2. Using the “New Item” Option
You can also add folders, files, and links using the New Item option available on the right-hand side of the Hub interface. Simply click on New Item and choose whether you want to create a Folder, upload a File, or add a Link. This provides a quick and convenient way to manage and organize your content within the Hub.
Syncing Google Drive
You can also sync your Google Drive using the New Item option available in the Hub. Simply click on New Item and select the option to connect your Google Drive. Once connected, you’ll be able to access and import files directly from your Google Drive into the Hub, making it easier to manage all your documents in one place.
Cialfo Discovery Center
The Discovery Center in Hubs is a dedicated section that provides content and resources tailored to your study preferences and interests.
In the Discovery Center, you can find:
Articles, videos, and study guides related to your preferred universities, courses, and countries
Content designed to help you explore options, understand application strategies, and stay informed
Personalized recommendations based on your activity and preferences
All content is curated to ensure you receive relevant and useful information to support your college planning and application journey.
Accessing the University Section
From the Universities (Uni Portal) option within Hubs, you will be redirected to the Universities section in Cialfo. Here, you can view and explore a complete list of universities, helping you research options and plan your applications more effectively.
Note : Students can control the access settings for any links added within Hubs. This allows you to decide who can view the links you share, helping you manage privacy and keep your resources organised according to your preferences.
